Performance management is a corporate management tool that helps managers to monitor and evaluate employees’ work. Performance management’s goal is to create an environment where people can perform to the best of their abilities and produce the highest-quality work most efficiently and effectively

PURPOSE OF THE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME

The purpose of or aim of this programme is that for Senior Managers to gain knowledge and skills to successfully:
· monitor
· encourage, and
· positively improve the performance of employees in the workplace

ROLE AND BENEFITS OF PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
The success of any organisation is dependent on the performance and results achieved by Management.
Management at executive, middle management and supervisory level are to operate in unison to achieve the goals and objectives of the organisation.

To do so, there must be a clear identification of:
¨ Key Result Areas of Management
¨ Key Result Indicators
¨ Key Performance Areas
¨ Key Performance Indicators

These need to be confirmed per function and per individual manager.
Furthermore, for each function, a Performance Champion needs to be appointed to monitor performance and results and which organisationally has a collective basis to be integrated and assessed to ensure the whole organisation is operating with one mission and in line with predetermined KRAs, KRIs, KPAs and KPIs.
This performance management training programme’s superordinate goal is to achieve this unified and team-based results in the best interest of any organisation.
