Course Overview

 This Course is for learners working within a Real Estate environment, seeking to acquire or enhance the competences to be a Principal in a Real Estate business or working within a Real Estate environment specialising in management or sales or rental. The acquisition of competence against this standard will add value to their understanding of the sector and functioning in the workplace.

The Facilities Management Workshop intended to provide participants with the knowledge and skills in:

 ¨ Appraise what facilities management means, the evolution of FM, the role of FM and how it relates to the core business of organisations.

¨ Differentiate between core and non-core business and services in the context of facilities management.

¨ Explain the role of the informed client or customer, the nature of risks faced by the client and the need to provide best value.

¨ Explain and demonstrate the development of a strategy for facilities management

¨ Explain and demonstrate the concept of Facilities planning

¨ Comply with legal requirements in managing facilities.

¨ Apply key disciplines for effective facilities management.
